Hello Muddah,
Hello Fadduh.
Here I am at
Camp Granada.
Camp
is very
entertaining.
And they say we'll have some fun if it stops
raining.

Celebrating moms is so easy when you have the perfect mom or muddah. There are many women who have babies, but that doesn't make them a mother in the truest sense. Just like many men can father a baby but that doesn't always make them a dad. A dad is one that stays and grows with that child. Somehow I got the best of both. My mom and dad stayed and brought me and 7 others into a home full (I mean PACKED FULL) of love. We lived a pretty simple lifestyle growing up in northern Minnesota and northern Michigan. As Garrison Keillor speaks of those northern folk "Welcome to Lake Wobegon, where all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average.

What makes a good mom? She is one who watches closely over her children most of the time. Someone said if you ever see a bear
cub, RUN! cuz momma's not too far behind. A good mom knows when there is danger and also when to play.

Have you ever noticed when a player in the Super Bowl gets an interview, they often thank their mom and Jesus Christ. Moms are so important in a child's development and also throughout life. Not just for a child, but also after leaving home; moms still give advice and love. My mom shared her life with us as we grew up by choosing to stay home and raise us. Judging by my successful brothers and sisters, she did a pretty good job. She's still doing a good job with us as we talk weekly on the phone. I enjoy calling my mom. Twenty minutes on the phone with her seems like five. She was born in nineteen hundred and none of your business. She was raised in northern Minnesota with a large family also. Her mom taught her Godly virtues that she passed on to us. She also learned to ride an Indian motorcycle as she grew up. My mom is truly an amazing virtuous woman of God.

One of the most important things my mom did as we grew up was make our house a home and spent time with us reading the Bible and praying every night with us. I remember us singing around the old piano them old hymns and Gospel songs. Everytime we sang, I asked for "Peace in the Valley". The Bible speaks of what a virtuous woman is, in Proverbs 31.

10 An excellent wife, who can find? For her worth is far above jewels. 11 The heart of her husband trusts in her, And he will have no lack of gain. 12 She does him good and not evil All the days of her life. 13 She looks for wool and flax And works with her hands in delight. 14 She is like merchant ships; She brings her food from afar. 15 She rises also while it is still night And gives food to her household And portions to her maidens. 16 She considers a field and buys it; From her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17 She girds herself with strength And makes her arms strong. 18 She senses that her gain is good; Her lamp does not go out at night. 19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff, And her hands grasp the spindle. 20 She extends her hand to the poor, And she stretches out her hands to the needy. 21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household, For all her household are clothed with scarlet. 22 She makes coverings for herself; Her clothing is fine linen and purple.23 Her husband is known in the gates, When he sits among the elders of the land. 24 She makes linen garments and sells them, And supplies belts to the tradesmen.25 Strength and dignity are her clothing, And she smiles at the future. 26 She opens her mouth in wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. 27 She looks well to the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children rise up and bless her; Her husband also, and he praises her, saying: 29 "Many daughters have done nobly, But you excel them all."

I have the best mom in the world and I hope you do too. My wife is also a mother of seven and she has done fantastic also. Remember to call your mom today and spend a bunch of time with her. She's worth it and more. I hope you have the best week and get alot of riding in. Stay safe and remember I'm praying for you.
