I've been there 3 times and loved every minute of it. Imagine 4 floors (large) of every kind of motorcycle invented/sold. If the old Harley or Indian still runs, it's not painted and shown in present condition. Others are restored and displayed. Mr Barber might even give us a special tour if we notify ahead of time. I'm told he's a great guy and loves to talk about the bikes. I wouldn't mind camping if some one local has a yard w/out a pitbull.

I am a hour away from Barber's. My son and I went in 2006 and for a guy that grew up in the 60's and 70's, was to me what coming out of a coma would be like. Bikes I haven't seen or thought about in years were there, Honda SL 70, Honda Elsinore, etc..

How about October 11-13 "Biker Haven and friends" ? That time of year will be great for riding. The museum will be a great attraction, and getting to meet y'all is gonna be great. I'm going to invite some friends to ride with me. We likely will head out very early thursday morning.
