Excellent verse. I love the Lincoln Brewster song "Everlasting God" . You just confirmed my pondering to do that song sunday in our set.

Luke 12

8. Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men,
him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
9. But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

Today I will just post this so we can all evaluate our own relationship. I know I am lacking in some areas.

We disown Jesus when we:
(1) hope no one will think we are Christians,
(2) decide not to speak up for what is right,
(3) are silent about our relationship with God,
(4) blend into society,
(5) accept our culture's non-Christian values.

By contrast, we acknowledge him when we:
(1) live moral, upright, Christ-honoring lives,
(2) look for opportunities to share our faith with others,
(3) help others in need,
(4) take a stand for justice,
(5) love others,
(6) acknowledge our loyalty to Christ,
(7) use our lives and resources to carry out his desires rather than our own.

That's one reason God called David a "Man after my own heart." I think David was blessed with wisdom and grace. He learned how to praise the Lord in the midst of 'puddin'.

James 1

Satan has many ways to temp us Bill. When Satan temps you ask the Lord for strength, let the Holy Spirit fill you and drive that devil out.

Resist the devil and he will flee. Unfortunately, I find myself arguing with him. It wasn't wrong that Eve heard the devil in the garden. It's when she listened that the trouble started. Give no place to the devil.
