girls went to wrestling camp
This weekend the girls went to a weekend all girls wrestling camp. They came home and said they learned sooo much!! today Clint and i decided to have some breakfast then go up and watch them a little bit. We got there and they were just about done. One of the coaches came up to us and introduced himself. he said that he thought our youngest who is 12 was a sophmore in high school. He said he didn't realize how young she was and actually placed her with someone who was alot more advanced in wrestling than she is but that she did an awesome job. He had placed her with a girl who placed 2nd at state this past year. But he said that even though he placed her with that girl she did really well and was well on her way to being a great wrestler. Then the other coach came over and he thought she was a sophmore or Junior in high school not heading into 7th grade. Tasha also said she learned alot. I think it was well worth the money. the coach who ran the camp said he used to to that all the time but hadn't done one for about 8 years. He said the girls at the camp were great and he was ready to do more camps and have a full camp next summer. I only got a few pictures because we got there kinda late, well actually they were letting them out alot earlier than we thought.
Looking forward to the wrestling season this year.

Thanks. I think it was really good for Jessica, the youngest, to have to really work a bit harder and gave her a good feel for what it will be like when she does wrestling for the school. Still cant believe they thought she was a sophmore. But they had fun and it was good for them. Got them away from the tv and computer.

That's awesome Monica. My oldest is not into sports at all. Anything I can do to get him away from the TV and video games is a plus. He does like to ride on my bike with me so I take him whenever I can.

Sounds like they had a successfull camp. I was hoping to get Emma into one but it did not work out.

Thats too bad that Emma wasn't able to get to a wrestling camp. Those are such a huge help for those kids. Next year the coach wants to do a full camp. I hope we can send them next year for a longer camp. Although this year just for the 2 days it was $60 each. they are not cheap but worth it.

Congrats on finding something they like to do. Seems like most kids I see would rather be home in front of the tv.
