guess your going to have to sing to her until the new radio arrives , better put the cherry bombs on the chevy to tone down your voice ,

You know how these go Billy Boy ... 2 steps forward and 5 steps back. I got the pipes installed and decided to make her maiden voyage home ... and she made it even thought I have no second gear ... Not sure why yet ... gonna wait for a warm up before I tear into the tranny ...

was it working befor you did the engine swap , that a 3 speed on the floor , or on the steering wheel , good to hear she made the trip home for you , it mite be something simple , like a shifting fork broke or out of the gear its suppose to be on ,

It's on the floor Willie ... I have a spare tranny that has a cracked retainer. I think I will take the retainer off the one that has no second and swap them. It just means lifting the motor or pulling the rear end and tube ... that is a lot of work.

been there and done that , my first 50 dollar beater was a 54 buick , the tranney went out the second week I owned it , it had a enclosed drive shaft , I pulled the rear to get the tranny out , it was a lot of work on that old boat , but did get it done , looked easyer then pulling that big block v8 , you will get there in time , its a project at work , hotrod len ,

yeah this one has an enclosed drive shaft too ... never fooled wjth one but I am sure youtube will have something
