Yeah, he is a clean racer. I remember when Ernie Irvin was still racing. He tried to make a pass in the grass through the tri oval at some 1 mile speedway. He failed miserably, hit the wall, took out a bunch of cars. The press stuck a mic in his face as he got back to the pits and asked him what happened. He said "Well, I tried a pass in the grass and it didn't work. Purely my fault and I'm sorry that I took out those other drivers" Huge smile on his face, he was having fun and trying to win instead of that damned points racing. I thought, here's a guy with the right stuff.

Heck yeah, that was epic, as my 15 year old would say. Then they put those sissy roof flaps on the cars. I loved the years when a car would go backwards at 190 and you knew that airborne would follow.
