Ready for some Holiday Cheer
Sorry I've been absent alot lately. Have been sad times.
One of my good friends here in Alabama has been in ICU for the past 2 1/2 weeks. We have been going to Huntsville as much as possible to visit. It looked like he wouldn't survive for a while, but he made a big turn-around last week and came home Sunday. He had a staff infection, kidneys, and bowels shut down, and had congestive heart failure. The power of prayer is strong.
Now for my best friend in Tennessee,we have been friends from our teenage years up through adulthood, the news wasn't as good. He has battled lung cancer for the past 4 years or so. I found out that he as back in the hospital recently and got a call late Sunday while I was at work. The call was another long time friend and he informed me that John had lost his battle and gone home to the lord.He would have been 53 Monday. Needless to say, my heart was ripped with pain for his family. Had to go up monday for visitation and be a pall bearer Tuesday. Between working 7 days a week, the stress of the holidays, and the sickness and loss of my friend I am beat. Now its off to Destin, Fl. at 6am in the morning for the holidays with my family. So, you can understand why I'm ready for a little cheer.
I know everyone has their own problems and loss of family going on also, but I think I just needed to vent a little. Thanks for listening and I hope everyone has a great and safe Christmas.
Merry Christmas to all.
