Daughter finally got a job

Our daughter Tasha has been trying to find a job for awhile, something thats not very easy for a 16yo to do these days. BUT her bests friends mom has her own business and was thinking about hiring someone to help and she hired Tasha. Its just part time but it will help with gas money and other stuff. Sometimes it helps knowing people. She starts on Monday.

Cool - It is good for kids to work. Gives em a sense of self worth and gets em ready for the "real" world.

It is very hard for kids under 18 to find jobs around here. Working for friends is what my 17 yo is doing.

Congrats to Tasha, but its a Damn shame that things are so bad that a teen cant find work at a burger joint cause adults are HAVING to take that kind of work!!
What kind of work is she doin??

Thanks everyone. I am very glad she was able to get a job to help out. Getting her a crat so she can do running start is not cheap and college books are not cheap either.
And yes it is sad that teens are having a hard time finding jobs since adults are looking for those same jobs.
Not sure how soon she will get a bike, will also depend on how much insurance on a bike will be.
I am not sure exactly what she will be doing, she is not sure either. BUT the gal has her own scrapbooking business and is working on finding a place to move it out of her home. I guess Tasha will find out what she will be doing tomorrow.
