motorcycle trailer
Yee Haw! Was talking couple months ago about building a trailer. Today I am in possession of a Sears X-cargo 20. Would assume 20 means cu.ft. perfect shape. Brackets inside. Key in the lock. Not a scratch on it. Seen it the other day across the street at the service station / scrap iron recycled. Asked my buddy if its for sale. No. Get it outta here. FREE...

Don't do it, don't buy a silver bike. You'll just look at it all the time on your trailer.

Re: motorcycle trailer
Depends on the trailer you get to put it on. Watch the width of the tires.

Re: motorcycle trailer
Yep, 20 cubic feet of storage. $250.00 from Sears. All you need now is one of those Harbor Freight trailers to bolt it to and you will be good to go.

Re: motorcycle trailer
Yep, harbor freight trailer or build one myself.
What do u mean by width of the tires. Understand tongue length. I'm kinda cheap so does any one have any silver paint? I'm out of primer.
Where did this Harley thing come from? They'll stand up to trailer pulling?

Re: motorcycle trailer
I recommend narrowing the trailer if possible too. From experience, I had a stock HB trailer with a board covering the whole top then a giant dufflebag (filled) strapped down on top. While following 2 semi's thru the hills of KY, I caught their turbulence. That trailer became a wing and we almost lost the bike. I've never been so scared in my life! I may be wrong, but I felt the width of the trailer had an effect on the situation.
As mentioned earlier, I mounted a dorm 'ice box' on the HB and narrowed it to fit exactly. In the freezer part, I ran some drain tubing and a cork for while riding. In the larger part we put our tent, bedding, and whatevers. If someone here knows how to post a pic, I'll send you a pic. That trailer worked out well.

Re: motorcycle trailer
This pic shows cooler spot in front. I plan on different wheels and if not the white "buggy' wheels to chrome if i can.

I found a pic from FB Dino of the trailer you are probably talking about. You and your wife were only about a hour drive away from Gary and I but that was before I joined Biker Haven.

Re: motorcycle trailer
same here I guess it's state wide. I bought that trailer when I had a blue VTX 1800R. Not realizing the forward momentum, I tried to make a sharp turn and the bike slid into a exit sign in Tulsa.
That red trailer looks good. That's really the right size of trailer to pull. My friend pulled one of the largest Bunkhouse trailers all the way to Sturgis and down to Texas. It had two beds and a A/C. Getting near Sturgis, it blew out the fork seals on the 1800 wing. I was pulling an Escapade a friend loaned me. I could hardly tell it was back there.

Re: motorcycle trailer
Here's a few pics of trailers I've owned and borrowed. The white one was a "Neosho" trailer. It was nice for about $800. The HF with dorm frig worked well too. The easiest pulling trailer was the Escapade in last pic. This was on our way to Sturgis. We stopped in Mitchell for the night.
