New toy.

I haven't been on much in the past couple weeks because we were in Fl. helping mom around the home front.  Also got to see Simpleman77 and had some great wings & beer.  The pic is Cathie and I on Lemon Bay, South of Sarasota in our new boat we picked up the day before.  We are headed out tomorrow to meet up with Fred, Bruce, and others in Cincinnati for Labor Day. Sure hope the a/c is working.

No Bill it's an Evenrude ETec 115 two stroke and it's quiet.  It also out performs the four strokes with the same HP rating.  I figured with less moving parts to break and not having to change the oil in the engine it was worth a try.

no 4 stoke , bummer , but still cool , they don't make the noise they use to anyways , still good luck and happy boating ,

The new two strokes have oil injection and electronic fuel injection. They burn way less oil and don't smoke at all. They pass the same EPA standards as the four stroke from what I understand.

haven't been around the repair work on motors to much since the 1990 , what is the diff . between the 4 stroke and 2 , neither has a crank case with storage , so there both oil injected , but one is super quiet , as the trashman would say , , is that boat called a boston whaler wes

Good purchase on the two stroke. I hated it when the gubmint got into the outboard industry and messed with things. I've always liked two stroke motors better than four. Quicker response and more HP.

the 4 stoke are a lot heavyer motors for sure , more weight means less speed , but I still like the part about hearing yourself think , but they have inproved the 2 stokes a lot since i'v worked on them years ago , way back they sounded like a sewing machine on steroids ,
