I use to pick a mandolin. Played at a lot of bluegrass jam sessions over the years and had a lot of fun. The problem is it takes so much time practicing to get good. I never did.

My dad played the banjo, mandolin, and acoustic guitar. He played in a week end band called "Izzy Pearl and the Paradise Entertainers". That was back in the 30's. He passed when I was only 4 so I blame him for never teaching me to play. Laughing  I still have his Cromwell guitar and Vega Banjo. Maybe I'll add that to my bucket list.

I have the privilege of playing every week with some good musicians at our church. Once in awhile I get to "crank it up". I'm living my dream. I picked up a Vox amp last week at Guitar Center for $200! It had a rattle in it. When I got it home, I took the back off and found a dime rolling around. I guess someone "dropped a dime" in the wrong phone booth. God is good....all the time.
