Bucket-list places to Visit
I enjoyed reading everyone's story on Eric's thread "Worst Rides" and thought about starting a thread on a subject my wife Kelly and I talked about over coffee on our cabin balcony in Mentone, Al. on our anniversary a couple years ago. We shared where we would like to visit or bucket-list places.
Mine was:
1) Key West, Florida- Hope to get a pic of me by that "big ole barrel" saying 90 miles to Cuba.
2) Niagara Falls, N.Y.
3) Grand Canyon, AZ.
4) Mt. Rushmore, S.D./Devil's Tower WY.
5) St. Joseph Highway
6) Yellowstone
7) Las Vegas
Route 66- Chicago (seeing the Sears Tower)to San Diego
9) San Francisco- Golden Gate Bridge, Redwoods
10) NE coast to the tip,- LOBSTER!
11) Gettysburg

Re: Bucket-list places to Visit
Wow good thread Dave. I would like to see Big Sky country .... Mt. Rushmore ... then head west till I run out of dirt and run the Pacific Coast Highway south and find Manny. I would like to meet up with Dave Herring (TexPops) and make him buy me a diet Dr. Pepper. I miss that old Texas cow pie. The I would try to find Keifer, Oklahoma (some say it doesn't exist) and track down that jar-head Marang ... Doc ... I would have a cup of coffee with Trashman under that big arch ... then down to Arkansas to let Yodaman buy me a diet Dr. Pepper .... then I would track down the rest of you misfits ....
I think I better start looking for a more comfortable seat ...

Wow so many places I haven't been yet. Track down all the friends in the Haven and see all the sights in between. That is on the bike. Then there are places I want to go on the boat.

Bill, I tell my wife all the time, one of these days I am going to log on and see my lottery #'s!
Len, if we ever meet in person, I will buy you a Diet Dr. Pepper, beer, coffee, prune juice;) bro lol!
Cup of coffee with Trash would be cool too. wife and I were on the Goldwing in Branson, Mo. back in August, fairly close to where he lives.
Wes, you are just a stone throw away, last time I was in South Carolina was 2013, carried the family to Myrtle Beach.

Re: Bucket-list places to Visit
Dave, you and anyone else that wants to can ride with a group of us to Sturgis/rushmore in July. We've gone there and camped the past three years. We take it slow and camp after about 6 hr riding. Some of us pull campers, some tent, some hotel it. Going up we will stay in St Jo. MO. Mitchell SD., and Custer near Mt Rushmore. After a few days of chrome, leather, and the scenery there, we are heading to Yeller'stone for a day or two. Then down to Denver, followed by Pike's Peak and Colo Springs. Then near Ellsworth, KS and back home to Fort Smith, AR. There are some pics and video on my Facebook (Dino hutchings) from our last year expedition. We ride on the cheap side and stay with friends all the way. Our nights in Custer State Park average $10/night!
My list would include the Birch trees of Vermont in the fall and the state parks of southern CA? Other than that, I'd like to meet each of you and share a braut.

Dino, that sounds like fun. I have yet to camp while motorcycling, guess because the wife is usually with me. I could have went to Sturgis this past summer but $ wise had to postpone. 1400 miles one way for me.

Re: Bucket-list places to Visit
Dave, that's why we go cheap as possible. We rack up a little over 3000 miles on these trips. Our stop in St Joseph, MO. Is a church gym for our air mattresses. Our stop in Mitchell, SD. Is a grandma in her 80's. I hope you can make it next July. We go the week before Sturgis actually starts. Most of the vendors are there and the nuts haven't taken over yet.
