ops2 Cut my finger this afternoon with an ulu cutting up some garlic for bean soup.  Not a long cut but I think it went to the bone.  Cathie insist I need to get stitches but I told her tape will work just fine.  It's now 6 hours later and I just about got the bleeding stopped.  ops2

I'm like that. I hate stitches. Last bad kitchen cut I had took about that long to get the bleeding stopped.

The last time I got stitches from an accident I took them out myself and never went back.

Being right handed I'm thankful it was my left hand that got cut.  I can still use the clutch.

I did the same thing a few months ago working on the trunk of the Harley. Bout cut the end of my index finger on my left hand off. I was going to get some butter fly bandages to hold it together and then figured what the hell .... just get it stitched. Took 5 stitches and they were in for about 10 days. I don't have much feeling in it anymore but it healed up real purdy.

they make a medical glue thats  powder , just pour on the cut and it stops the bleeding , wife cut a blood clot that was sticking out on her leg and it was pumping blood like a water hose , I called the neightbor and 911 , neightbors brought down some powder super glue , it was medical super glue , it stopped the bleeding right now , I took her to er and the packet the glue was in , the er doc said she never seen that befor , but she smelled it and said it smelled like super glue , no stitches were needed , it was called [ celox] clots blood fast , don't know if it would work on deeper cuts , but good to have in first aid kits affraid affraid

They also use stuff called Dermabond. It is liquid though. That stuff you are talking about Bill sounds cool.
