Strange Noise

So I road down into West by God Virginia after work. Beautiful day and great roads. I had the Ipod connected and it was making some pretty good noise. After about a half an hour I started hearing a noise. I want to call it a "howling sound from the right side. I started thinking ... bearing ... brake .... shit ... maybe it's a tire going down. I pulled off and checked it over and didn't see anything that looked out of sorts. The rotor didn't look discolored ... tire looked ok and tread is good. I road her home and still heard something. Tire had 39.5 pounds ... a half a pound under. Any thoughts???

Should have mentioned that it has 4,400 miles on it.

did the drive belt look good , colonel on the crap board just had to replace a drive belt after only 1500 miles , on his ultra little did he know , they put the same belt that they put on the sporty , there narrower  , don't know if they corrected this problem on the newer dressers , but you mite need to take a look see and see if everything is good with the belt , just guessing len ,

Well Santa ... I just got back from my buddy's garage. He has been riding Harley s for aver 50 years. He said the tire make that noise after they are halfway worn. He said turn the radio up and ride.   I am planning to pick up a set of tires on Black Friday. The shop has a 30% off sale on anything Harley Davidson. These will last this year for sure.

glad ya got the problem solved , my Goldwing made some strange noises when I owned it , yup , turn the radio up and it goes away , works for me  

You're hearing strange noises?  I hear that in my head to sometimes. What I don't like is when they're all quiet, never know what they're up to…
