Wild Fires on the BRP Empty Wild Fires on the BRP

Post by tcarp66 February 15th 2011, 6:42 am

Wow....humidity of 20% and 40 mph winds helped a fire yesterday just a mile or two from my place. We saw smoke on our way home. They got it contained last night about 10pm. It was out of control for about 5 hrs. Word is it burned at least a 100 acres. If you wanna see pics I posted a link to Raysweather.com I couldnt even think of going to bed till I knew we wouldnt get evacuated. You see this kind of thing on TV but I never thought I would have it in my back yard Shocked

That's some scary chit. I'm happy to hear you guys are OK. When they had the big fires down in San Diego, my Dad's house was surrounded on three sides. The only reason it was not all four was because the ocean would not catch on fire! Very scary.

Wow! Glad you're ok. With those conditions it can get out of hand quickly.

So close to your house I know that had to rattle the nerves. Glad it got contained.
You said you see these kind of fires on TV, I was already thinking California, before I read that part.

Be careful Bro. I haven't even got to visit the new place yet. Laughing
Seriously, keep an eye out for the families safety.
