Started the bike just to let it run a little and had a puddle of coolant leaking from the were the hose connect to the radiator. Maybe it will be an easy fix.

JD, make sure that the Hose Clamp is tight. I had that problem a couple of years ago and that's all that it was. It seems to be a common problem with these bikes.-------- Coffee

When the weather turns cold, all the loose clamps on any cooling system will show up. I'm sure I'm not telling anyone anything they already didn't already know, jus sayin...

I noticed a little spot where coolant had leaked under my '82 GW a few days ago. I haven't tighten any clamps but plan on it when I am back in the garage, hoping it is a clamp(s) and not a waterpump.
I should have sold it back in the fall but did not get many good offers and I sure wasn't going to give it away. Also may be going to have to buy a new battery now.

Actually I didn't know that. thanks Jeff! Coming from up there, maybe you have more experience with that. Down here, 3 inches of snow and the town shuts down. You can't get into the local garage cuz they're closed till the roads get plowed by our one truck. lol
