Pray for Joan

Just a short note. Joan is in the hosp. again and not doing well. The oncologist says she has less than two years at best and if he cannot get control of the cancer in her liver right now she has very little time. I hope to write an update in the next couple days with more info.

I hope this helps. when I found out about my battle for life, I booked a cruise to Mexico for Patty and I. We're going again in January to Cozumel/calika Mexico January 24th from Mobile AL. It's only $300/person for 4 nights 5 days TOTAL. You might consider coming if you both feel up to it. I never want to live with "I wish I'd done thus and such." Sure I feel changes in my body and things are harder at times, but I press forward.

Joan is not doing well right now. Been in the hosp. for 6 days. Constipated for over a week and have not eaten since last Wed. All kinds of problems they can't seem to figure out. Retaining around 16 lb's. of fluids. Liver function showing some improvement.

I have about forgotten what home looks like. It's like living in a small motel room with very high rates. They have good cable TV here and I figured out how to get all the free coffee I want.

A good friend has loaned their laptop so I can get on line wireless from the hosp. room.

Hang in there WesT ... everyone is praying for both of you.

Thinking of you guys everyday. Smiled when I saw about her liver improvement.
If I lived closer, I would be coming by for a few minutes to talk, drink coffee.
