Any IT guys? Empty Any IT guys?

Ihave a question for any IT guys here. I am looking at a school for Microsoft certification. They have given me the sales pitch, and I have looked online at degrees vs. certification. Does anyone know anything or have any opinions about getting certified vs. getting a degree in a two or four year college? I guess what I'm trying to get around to is, is it realistic to believe I could get a good paying job with just the certification? These schools are VERY expensive.

Dan ... I got an associate's degree. I was offered a job at the school district when I was doing an internship. School districts don't pay a lot but at this point in my life money wasn't as important as doing something I enjoy. If you get certified as an MSE or CCNA you can make some pretty decent coin.

Thanks Len. The classes I am looking into offer MCTS and MCITP.

I'll be honest with a. I 1st got my Associate in Electronic and Computer Engineering and when looking for jobs after graduation I kept getting asked if I had my A+ certification. So with that in mind degrees are great but most people in this field concern themselves with what certifications you have first, then they look at your background education.
